Hey all I just got into these 3 universities for early action and I can't choose which one is the best out of the three.

Got into the business schools at SCU and Chapman with grants from SCU and a Deans scholarship at Chapman

While I got into the international studies program at Fordham at Lincoln center.

Please help me make my decision

Pros and cons thank you xxx

Most people change their majors one or two times, so in terms of curriculum, you might want to choose a school that supports several of your interests. Santa Clara and Chapman are very suburban. Fordham Lincoln Center is in mid town Manhattan. You honestly have no preference between those two types of colleges? I would think that would be the most important point. Fordham Lincoln Center, by the way, has a TINY campus. But it is in mid-town Manhattan!! Some people would love that, some people would hate that. By the way, I know a bit about Chapman, it is right near the Orange Circle, which is pretty cool (though it has too many antique stores). It has great, affordable Cuban restaurant (Felix), two great Lebanese restaurants (Papa Hassan’s and Byblos) and a classic old time soda shop (Watson’s Drug Store).

They’re all good schools but it really comes down to your preference. There is a night and day difference between CA and NYC. If you want to go into business, using NY as your platform for internships/job opportunities will immensely help you out. They’re all good schools, but Fordham has a doctoral program and is considered in the national rankings for that matter, while I believe both of those other schools have Master’s as the highest degree offered in the school and not considered in the same national rankings. Fordham might be more recognized and well respected.

By the way, which state are you from?
Is money a concern because you will be paying a lot for a Fordham education without any grants/scholarships, which you seem to be getting from those two other schools.

Hey I’m not from any state, I am an international student, and no money isn’t a concern.

People here will support Fordham. People at Santa Clara (a fine Jesuit college with a stunning campus) will support them. People at Chapman (which I know nothing about) will support them. In the end, its up to you. You are the person attending college and only you know your personality, your strongest interests and ambitions. Fordham is a close community so you will make lots of good friends. Lincoln Center is a small campus with plans to grow, new buildings etc. But its got fabulous faculty and unsurpassed opportunities, particularly in IR with ties to UN programs and other NGO’s. Fordham is an outstanding feeder college for highly prestigious graduate programs, or attending one of Fordham’s own graduate programs. You can also take classes at Rose Hill by hopping the Ramvan if you wish.

Santa Clara is tied into the high tech markets in Silicon Valley. Are you a budding entrepreneur who is into that? Or are you a budding IR specialist who wants to go into diplomatic work, NGO work or something else governmental? Further, Fordham has a highly respected business college (Rose Hill CBA) and a highly respected MBA program, including a campus in Beijing.

Its your choice and your decision.
