Fordham University 2021 RD Applicants

@flute1298 I don’t think they made an exception. I just emailed my counselor and asked him if I could still apply and if I would still be considered for the upcoming freshmen class. He said I could and I would be considered

@whatyouflex - the deadline was January 9th.

Yes, but I think they only allowed me because they are still accepting freshmen @flute1298

Anything’s possible but more likely if you are a top performer, that you’ll be WL and if they need you: major, amount of aid needed, etc, then would be off the WL on May 2nd!
Otherwise lots of universities accept some kids for January because some kids don’t show up in September and others drop out first semester.

@rkelly5182 well my credentials aren’t that good. Varsity football for 2 years, some volunteer service, 30C act, 92 gpa W, 8 APS

Did anybody get an email around the 9th letting them know they had been accepted? I’m trying to figure out why they sent that because my stats aren’t all that great… and they didn’t give me much aid either. Also what did you guys get in terms of scholarships?

does anyone know when waitlisted applicants will hear back? i definitely don’t have my hopes up since so many were waitlisted but i just want to know

Given how competitive the college admission process had become, the opportunity is there throughout the summer until registration.

Hi everyone!

I got curious and read through this post after being accepted to Fordham College at Lincoln Center last month! I see many of you were either waitlisted or rejected.

Some advice… apply after your first year or first two years as a transfer. While I did not apply my senior year of high school, I did apply after my first year of college at a less prestigious university and got accepted! I would even recommend going to community college if you’re looking to save money.

Just make sure to get involved and get top grades at your new institution! I would have never gotten accepted my senior year of high school with how low my stats were. I’ll post them below!

HS GPA: 3.75
Rank: 20/178
SAT (old): 1650
College GPA: 3.4 (3.7 including this semester); Honors Program
Many EC activities and volunteer work
All A’s and one B on my midterm report
Very strong essay!

A lot of the students on the Fordham 2017 Transfer Thread did in fact get accepted from community colleges, and while I am very proud to have been accepted as a transfer, I did feel the transfer process was much easier!

I hope you all don’t get discouraged and seek out other options. If anyone has any questions at all about the transfer process and my experience, I would love to help.
