Hi,
I’m a prospective international applicant at Fordham. So, basically I’m considering either applying to Gabelli’s BS in Global Business or just to the regular Fordham College, I’d prefer Lincoln Center and later on declaring a major, likely in International Political Economy. Question is, can I apply to both of these schools and see which one accepts me, as I guess it is harder to get into Gabelli than Fordham College at LC. Also, I read that International Political Economy is offered to students at both campuses, but that some required courses take place at RH. In that case, is it possible to do the major while being enrolled and living at LC.
Thanks,
You have to choose one campus and one school at Fordham to apply to.
You can look at the Fordham website to see what majors are available on what campus.
As far as I know Fordham does not break out admissions statistics for Gabelli.
Thanks for the reply, It’s supposedly harder to get into Gabelli from others’ experiences. Also, would applying early action help?
Early action doesn’t typically provide a boost as it is non-binding. In fact a number of candidates get deferred from the EA round. Fordham does offer binding ED as an option.
The one thing Fordham does state on its website is: “Since quantitative analysis is a critical part of the curriculum in the Gabelli School of Business, applicants to this college should have coursework in precalculus (at minimum) or calculus (preferred), and have Math scores at or above 670 (SAT) or 28 (ACT).” so if you haven’t met those standards then it would probably be best not apply to Gabelli. https://www.fordham.edu/testscores
