@brianp57 Fordham usually doesn’t send the “Sorry, the class is filled and there are no more spots” e-mail until August. Mainly for the reasons that sovereigndebt has mentioned: someone gets off the waitlist at an Ivy or the like and bolts mid-summer. There is a real possibility of that happening each year, so I think that it’s nice that Fordham keeps its waitlist in mind until the final moment!
In terms of being admitted from the waitlist, I haven’t heard anything yet. However, roughly a week ago my admissions counselor e-mailed me and informed me that they are hoping to be in touch with me soon with “more information!” Based on previous years, the only information they give waitlistees in the month of May is a notification of acceptance. So I’m not jumping to any conclusions just yet, but definitely hoping for the best!
birdman- thanks for the response. I appreciate the info. Good luck!
It’s June already… anyone heard back yet?
@Apple1121 I completely forgot about the waitlist notifications since its taking so long haha… still havent heard, but there is a good possibility it will come out tomorrow apparently!
I just called today and they said the decision will be available next week. Also being told that only a small amount of people will get off the waitlist this year. I already submitted deposit to Baruch but still… there may be some good news!
Since I haven’t seen any activity here about the waitlist, I will assume that Fordham has not notified anyone yet. Has anyone out there called this week to check in?
I got an email saying I was offered the extended waitlist…Probably not taking it considering I’m happy with where I deposited
When did you receive that email?
I got extended wait list offer a few days ago. It was in my spam. I decided to stay on the list.
@4kidscarj i think last monday
So what do you think it means if you did not receive an email about the extended waitlist? Has anyone been admitted off the original waitlist?
The odds are pretty slim that you will get off the waitlist. An option is to go to another college for a year, get great grades and then apply for a transfer.
@thebirdman5091 did you ever get your waitlist call from Fordham?
