Hey @mcmom2! What exactly are the qualities that your D is looking for? What would she like to major in? Like I said above, both schools are great, but both have different personalities. Villanova has a Greek life. Fordham doesn’t. Both are excellent and unless you had visited both I can understand how it’s hard to choose. And when it comes to school spirit, hopefully you were watching the NCAA basketball tournament because that pretty much sums up how passionate the kids are at Villanova. Fordham has spirit also, it’s football team has done very well the past few years.

OK. UPDATE: US News and World Report is out for 2017 and Nova has worked very hard to get into the National Universities category and has come in at a strong #50. Congrats to them! Having strong programs and an engineering school has helped. Not having a school of engineering or top STEM programs leaves Fordham at #60, so Nova has bragging rights in this publication. As I have said, it is about fit and feel. A kid would do well and get a fine education at either school.
