I got straight As in 5 years of HS spanish, but didn’t take either the subject test or the AP exam. I’d like to take something like French, but since I’m going to try for a double major I don’t want it to be a graduation requirement.

Anyways, my school had a fairly awful foreign language program. AP Spanish was the 7th year course. Would I have any chance of passing the placement exam.

You have nothing to lose by trying. If you don't place out of the requirement so you can take French without pressure, appeal to the language dept. There's often a way around such things because their ultimate goal is to get students to study languages.

I took 3 years of Spanish, was terrible at it, and tested into 4th semester Spanish. The Spanish exam is also multiple choice, so you could end up with some lucky guesses

Definitely take the placement test anyway, it can't hurt, and it's not too much of a pain since for Spanish, it's online. Just give it a shot. :)

Goddammit.

It's not letting me take the exam. This website: Boston University Orientation - Diagnostic Examinations links me to: WebCAPE Placement Exam Registration

WHAT ACCOUNT PASSWORD? I tried using my kerberos password, but it did absolutely nothing.

The password is: terriers1
