Haas requires three years of foreign language from high school, two semesters from CC, or a 590 on the SAT II. My question is can I take the SAT II after I've graduated high school to fulfill this requirement? I still plan to take Jap 1 for the International Studies breadth, but I don't want to take Jap 2 as it doesn't fulfill any other requirements and it just adds 5 units to my already tight schedule.

Well first off what language did you take? Do you understand the language well enough to score above 590 on the SAT II? Why don't you take the test while you are still in high school (unless you've already graduated)?

I took Korean 1 my sophomore year and will be taking Korean 2 my senior year (one year gap because of scheduling conflict). I'm planning on taking the SAT II after I graduate because I think I'll only really pass it after I finish up Korean 2 this year. I guess I could take Korean instead of Japanese in CC, but I kinda wanna learn something new. The extra 5 units for Jap 2 would only clog up my schedule as I don't need the units.

i'd ask the admissions department at haas....the last thing you want to do is make a small error on your app that costs you your chance for admission. when it comes to things like that, trust no one but the school! just look at the stats...over 800 people got rejected last year just because they had incomplete apps
