Foreign Language Requirements

<p>I'm a junior in high school and lately I've been looking at colleges trying to decide where I want to apply. I've noticed some schools, such a Penn State and Princeton, have a requirement of 3-4 years of the same foreign language. I have taken four years of French (though two were in middle school so they count as one) and only two of those years count towards high school. I want to know how strict schools are with language requirements. I stopped taking french because I wanted to focus on science and math so there was no more room in my schedule. Should I still apply to schools that have the three-four year requirement?</p>
