Forgot my Transcript

Ok, before I start, I want to let you know that this is entirely my fault if I didn’t get in because of this, I will not blame anyone but me. :frowning:

I applied to MIT for Biological Engineering Dept. I have double check and triple check my application before submitting it.
Then from time to time I would go into the applications and look at it (hoping for some answers) but didn’t realize I did not upgrade my transcripts from my Master’s degree or My undergrad. My community college transcript is there. So after I realized this, of course I went ahead to upload my transcript (I can still alter it but the committee may not see changes)

The deadline was 12/15. Today is 1/7 and I assume they have gone through my applications (since they have already offered interview invitation for some students.

My questions is do I let them know that I have uploaded the transcript? Another section of the application (after the transcript section) is where I list all the classes I took in all my schools and they said “If it’s in your transcript, you don’t have to list it” But at that time, I thought I didn’t upload my transcript cause I dont see a link anywhere, so I listed every class possible that’s relevant to the major and listed my grades as well.

Do you think I should inform them? Or should I let it go?

What do you have to lose by telling them? If you don’t, you won’t get in. If you do, you might get in.

Would they not consider my applications at all if I let them know that I missed it?

OK, so you listed all of your classes but did not load all of your transcripts in time. I don’t think you have anything to lose by informing them. If they were interested in your application but were concerned about the missing transcripts, then this might give them an excuse to look again. If they already had decided to not consider you further, then nothing will happen anyway.

Thank you for your replies, I have emailed the department notifiying them of the missing transcript and uploaded in my application.
What I am most afraid of it that they would not even look at it if it’s incomplete (missing transcript)
So now, I will be at risk of either “being at the bottom of the pile” or “pulled out of consideration” or business as usual.
But I have done my part, and I totally understand if they decided to not consider me at all.

Good luck!
