Some schools have AP scores on the transcript but our school doesn't so I wasn't informed that I was supposed to send AP scores to colleges because my counselor forgot.... the decision results are coming out in two days and I did rush send the scores but I know it's already too late.... I'm so worried the colleges probably thought I didn't take the challenge to take the exams and stuff.... I actually even got ap scholar honor award and stuff... :/ what do i doooo.... would that immediately give me a rejection?

Didn’t you report them on your application? Didn’t you put AP scholar on your list of awards? You only need to send them for credit or advanced placement purposes. No college requires them for admission that I have heard.

Of course not! It happens. I’m not even sure how much AP scores would affect the outcome. If you included the AP scholar award on your application, they’d know that you took the exams. Even if you didn’t, it’s really no big deal. Those AP tests are mainly for getting credit for college level courses, so don’t worry, you’re totally fine :)

You send the scores after you’ve decided to enroll so you receive credit. I’m pretty sure colleges don’t use the scores at all for admission purposes. And if they required them they would’ve sent an email or on their portal said that your app was incomplete. Also they would have seen you took AP classes on your transcript so not a problem, they’ll see you took challenges.

AP scores do not have that much influence on college decision results, that is more the SAT IIs. Most just use AP scores for credit purposes. Therefore, most people do not send their actual AP scores and just self report on the common app until they actually enroll in the school.

TLDR; You’ll be fine. I doubt sending the AP scores in would have had significant impact on their admissions decision, whatever outcome that may be

Not that it applies here, but the one case I’ve found where AP scores (self-reported) do have a bigger impact is at test optional schools where you don’t submit an ACT or SAT. Since they have less information to go on, AP scores are a bit magnified and can influence their decision. But I know of no school that requires you actually officially report them until matriculation. Not saying it doesn’t exist, I just don’t know of any at the moment who require it.

Only for a few schools that uses SAT2 and AP scores for admission purpose in lieu of ACT/SAT, you don’t need to submit official AP scores for your college application. You only need to send AP scores to the college you matriculated after senior year. The best way is to put the school(s) you are likely/already admitted on your AP exam registration in senior year for free score report and be done with it.
