i just submitted my application and my teacher and guidance counselor told me they submitted their recs as well.
but only my transcript is on an official school letterhead with the signature form the principal.
while all my teacher and GC recommendations are just an uploaded word file with just a “contact me if i can be of further assistance at the end”
i’m afraid that colleges might not think this is authentic and ,thus , reject me
i asked them all to print the recs on a school letterhead and sign them
so what should i do
i will be fine and if their is any doubt colleges will call my GC
just ask my teachers and GC to sign their recs on a letter head and then ask my GC to send a mail explaining why they couldnt do it (it was around new year - school was closed) and attach all three of the recs (on the letter head with signatures) to the email and mail it to the colleges i applied to (ivies + stanford + random)
Help!!
any advice is welcomed and tell me what to do
right now, I want to follow option 2 and ask my GC to send an e-mail.
Do you really think you’re the first rec letter your teachers have submitted? please chill. You’re fine. Advice on what to do? Go eat some chips and watch some TV then go to bed. It’s all good.
The reason why I did not read past the first sentence is because you are unnecessarily worrying about things that will not even matter. Did your GC and recommenders submit from the official email addresses? Please take a chill pill and relax.
Rec letters do not have to be on official letterhead - I don’t know what made you think that. Please chill.
EDIT: This is the second thread you’ve posted on the exact same topic- you got an answer before. I don’t know why you had to ask it again. Were you expecting a different response?
I’m pretty sure your teachers and GC have been through this before. As long as the emails were from their official school email addresses, you’ll be fine. Now, go get those chips…
