Problem: I'm staying in Berkeley during summer in non-University rented accommodation and further throughout the next academic year. AirBears doesn't reach there, and I don't want to pay for Internet right now because my room-mates will only be coming (and more importantly, sharing the cost) from late August.

(Hoped for) solution: One of the upstanding denizens of CC UCB will give me info on which university buildings, if any, are open over the summer well into the evening (the libraries are only open till 5-6, but I prefer to work during the evening / early night), and which also receive AirBears and have electricity outlets (i.e. not some random shed).

Thanks.

check lib.berkeley.edu

It gives you the hours of operation for each library for each day

Isn’t Dwinelle Hall open 24/7? I know it is during finals, but I’d check that out.

I have a similar problem. I won’t have a printer over the summer. So if I print from a library, will it just charge it to my CARS bill? Also, can someone recommend a good library/location to do printing on campus?

Eshelman Hall is open 24/7, but you need to know someone to get in there after hours.

Or better yet, sign up for a CS course, then go to Soda Hall to register your Cal 1 Card for 24/7 computer lab access. Then maybe you can drop the course right after that and you will still retain access to the labs, I think?

To print from a library, you’ll need to buy a copy card.

Where will I be able to buy a copy card? Are the copy centers even open during summer? >____<
