Free Office download for students?

I called the Office of Info and Techonology and one of the desk people told me to hold off on buying Office for my Mac because later in the summer they send a free download for students. Does anyone know when that download will come out?

From an email

When did you get that email? I didn’t!

Anyway, that’s terrific :D

I got it back in mid-July lol.

Does it say where we can find the link? Because I never got that email either!

That’s the full text of the email. I figure it’ll go up on the OIT site at some point, and I think they’ll send out an email when it’s actually available.

Has anyone received an e-mail about the Microsoft Office download yet?

No, but it’s on the website. My daughter installed the Mac 2011 version. The software download page:

[OIT Software Licensing](http://www.oit.umd.edu/slic/)

or for MS products specifically:

[Welcome | University of Maryland - Software Center | Academic Software Discounts](http://www.software.umd.edu).

BTW, the email was sent out today.
