I just got an e-mail from CB reminding me that I have 4 free score reports so I did some CC browsing on how these reports work. I haven't taken SAT II tests and will probably be taking the SAT again but is there any harm to sending these reports to safety schools?

I understand that these reports are sent without your knowing the scores but I'm wondering if there's any reason not to send them to safety schools - if you don't use them, they basically "disappear" correct?

yes, they do disappear. This is precisely why you must take advantage and use them now. I have sent to schools I KNOW i will apply to. Try sending to two safeties, two reaches. One of the main reasons to send is to let the college know you are interested. They will start a file on you once they get the scores.
It’s important to send to safeties. For example…perhaps RIT is your safety, but you are dying to go to MIT. Send to both in case you don’t get into MIT, because at least you will know you showed RIT you are really interested.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why doesn’t Collegeboard let you see your scores before using a free score report? It seems weird to send scores that you don’t know to colleges.
