Let me redefine my previous question that NO ONE answered..

anyone know of any FREE programs for RISING 10th GRADERS in the summer (anywhere in the US)?

I don't mind math, science, medicine, or business. Also, please make sure it isn't limited to ONLY local students, or economically/socially disadvantaged.

I looked at the IMPORTANT threads, but those were all for rising juniors and up..

^ lol @college123college I don’t know much about stem/business programs, but since no one else is replying, I’ll answer.
It doesn’t seem like there are too many free programs for current freshmen in math, science, medicine, or business (with free being the major limiting factor), and especially if you don’t want programs aimed at URMs…there really doesn’t seem to be anything. Maybe universities think freshies are too young? But anyways, if you really want to do something this summer, a fair number of the not-free programs have financial aid, sometimes that cover the entire cost of tuition. Or you could email a professor at a local university and ask if you could intern with or shadow them. An internship would look just as good if not better than a summer program IMO.

College123college- check this out! But make sure you look at the qualifications, it goes by age not by grade. Message me with any questions! [Louis August Jonas Foundation :: Home Page :: Home Page](http://www.lajf.org/index.cfm)

I have ones in Wisconsin. (Sorry, I know you said non-regional ones, but it might help someone, and I figured something is better than nothing)

It’s AHEC. If you search it on google, Wisconsin AHEC which stands for Area Health Education Centers. There’s a Career Camp. Which is free to apply, and free to go to. I think they ask for $50, but if you say you can’t pay for it, they don’t ask for any tax forms and such. So, if anyone is in Wisco, this is something to look towards.

Also, Business World, I’m not sure if this is regional or national. It is pretty cheap if you opt to pay for it. If you can’t, they’re pretty good about it I think. As with the other one, you should be able to look it up. (Sorry, I’m not sure if this is just for Midwest or not)
