<p>How much free time do most college students have after attending classes, allotting enough time to study, and participating in a few clubs, etc? </p>
<p>I am curious because I am a non-music major (biochem acutally), but am prepping for a large piano competition for next year in october. Do you think it is possible to fit in atleast 1-3 hours of piano at least a few times a week?</p>
<p>I usually have an hour or two of down time a day after everything else, give or take. It’s going to vary widely based on how close you are to exams, what kinds of classes you’re taking, how many classes you’re taking, how fast you work, how diligent and efficient you are when you work, etc.</p>
<p>I have a fair amount of free time…but soon I’ll have none because I’ll be participating in so many clubs and such. MWF my first class isn’t til 11:30 and my last class ends at 3:20. I generally work between 9:30 and 11, and then another 1 1/2-2 hours later. TTH my first class is at 8:30, but my next class isn’t til 11:30, so again, I generally work between 9:30 and 11. Tuesdays are great because I have a 3 hour block between classes, but Thursdays I’m pretty booked from 11:30-5:15. I generally spend about 1-2 hours each day just hanging out with my friends doing whatever.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have class from 10am to 6pm M-R, and by the time I am out of class I am exhausted so while I do get some work done it’s not a whole lot so it eats into the weekend. When I had a more reasonable schedule it worked out better but classes here meet anywhere from 2 to 4 times a week, and I am in four classes.</p>
