I'm an international student from Algeria , our educational system is French and i got the french baccalaureate with an average of :12.52/20

Math;15/20
Physics: 13/20
English:16.5/20

And i was wandering i can get accepted from universities like : UBC, MCGILL, Alberta, Mcmaster......
and if not where should i apply for engineering with those grades?

You are an Algerian student in a French-paterned high school asking about Canadian universities in an American universities forum? Gotta love CC!!!

Anyway, an average of 12.5 may be a little low for McGill, but it should be ok for the remaining Canadian schools. If you are interested in Engineering, check out Toronto and Waterloo.

How did you do in your brevet? Are you currently in Premiere? What was your average in 3eme and 2nde?

it doesn’t have to be just Canadian schools, US, UK anything.
By brevet you mean BEM in French…? if so i got 15/20 average
i’m currently studying in university and i just finished my terminal year in high school.
average on 2nde: 12/20
average on 3eme: 11/20

Well on the mcgill website it says that you only need 12 in maths and they offer a french curriculum. All though, you possibilities are much slimmer for MIT because it is a very demanding school.
Anyways I have a few questions of my own. I’m about to start premiere S in the french school of Singapore. It’s reputation as french international school is only beaten by the school in london. I passed 3eme with 15.5 of average and I got tres bien (16) at my brevet. In seconde, i passed with 15 of average. I passed my IGCSE language exam so i have a pretty hight level in english (even though i still do some mistakes)
Any ways i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i have the capacities of entering an ivy league?

Dcvans, it’s impossible to advise without knowing your SAT and SATII test results. The Ivies, and many other schools, don’t really care how well you did on your bac exams. What counts are SATs, your grades (which will be evaluated by each school) class rankings if available, letters of recommendation and to some degree your extra curricular activities. What also looks good are any national/international olympiads or academic competitions.
