No, they want a total of 4-5 APs targeted toward the program you’re interested in. However they want to see 5’s.
But my question meant why so many delayed until senrior year.
@lookingforward, from other posts I don’t think that they were delayed - I think that they were added when OP added international unis to the list
My school offers APs only to some students, ones with better grades, and since my grades were not good enough until junior year, I didn’t take as many as I would have liked
If you’re going to study a math/quant subject in the UK, really only the math and physics (and maybe CS) AP’s would help you.
Taking Lit, Psych, and History APs wouldn’t help. Then again, you could get credit for them at American/Canadian colleges. Oh, and I suppose if you want to study two unrelated dual subjects.
But getting 5’s (or 4’s at worst) in relevant subjects is far more important.
