Should I take a fifth year of french or AP physics my senior year? If I don't take french my senior year, i would test out of it in the IB diploma program at the end of this year. If i score high enough, that would demonstrate passable fluency in the language. If i don't test out this year, i wouldn't be able to take a science my senior year, and i'm really worried about how this will impact how colleges view my transcript. I know that most emphasize four years of a language and four years of science, but now that i sort of have to choose... any thoughts?

I’d say choose the one you’re more interested in. Schools want to see your passion, so if you say anywhere in your application that you love French or you have French-related ECs, choose French. If you’re intending to major in science and like science a lot more, take Physics.

Is AP Physics B or C? B is much less useful for subject credit in universities. However, if you have not taken any physics at all, you may want to take some physics course, since having taken all three sciences is likely to be looked at favorably.

Check each university you intend to apply to for its subject credit and placement policies for French and AP Physics.

I would aim for French. I have talked with a couple UC students and they told me that you will receive units but you will not pass out of any Physics courses that you will need to take for your major.
