It probably wont be too bad though, I hope. And theres always the AP and IB tests I can do well on.

there were some questions..like:

-_____ qu'il soit...
-J'espere
-Je crois
-Il est certain

and others...what was that one?

and in general, did u get a lot of rows of answer B's or C's? near the beginning..?

its J'espere becuase soit is subjunctive and Je crois uses indicative and so does Il est certain.

Well I got that wrong.

i put j'espere too..but are u sure thats right..?

there was another choice too but i forgot...hmm

there is no subjunctive after j'espere, I am certain about that, I thought the correct answer was il se peut...

There is subjunctive after j'espere. You use the subjunctive after all wishes (aka hopes).

okay, so i theres this question i n the back of my mind thats been killing me.
i guessed on that one question in listening where that guy was getting a job interview and the question was asking him what the boss talked to him about. i didnt sleep much the night before so i lost concentration and didnt hear it.

i guessed and said they talked about his family, which im begining to think is wrong because unless im not remembering right, it said something about them discussing the guy's prior jobs...so?

and also. on the same piece, was he anxious because he thought he wouldn't get the job? because thats what i put down.

and what's the curve like on the french with listening?

When ESPERER, penser, croire are in the affirmative, the verb is in the indicative: "Vous esperez que leur avion partira a l'heure". However, when these verbs are in either NEGATIVE or INTERROGATIVE the subjunctive is used: "Je n'espere pas qu'elle m'ecrive." That's what my grammar book and French prof say. In the test the verb was in the affirmative as far as I remember.

ipwn, they talked about his job experience. Yes, he thought he wouldn't get the job :)

AHHHHH!!! damnit.

what about that one image with the people at a fruitstand in it? was the answer the one with "epicerie" in it, or the one where they say "you can find all different kinds of people here"?

o yea..and what about the one question on the definition of the word "lai" in the context.
i said it was a song sung in the middle ages or something.
i dont believe its a piece of an instrument or an instrument itself. right??

im doing SATII French in dec. and im pretty sure im pretty screwed...was the nov. 5th one hard? like...can only the fluent French speakers get a good mark?

"what about that one image with the people at a fruitstand in it? was the answer the one with "epicerie" in it, or the one where they say "you can find all different kinds of people here"?"

Neither! There was one with "peche" and there were peaches on the table. Something like "The peaches are really good this year."

-the guy with the job interview...wasn't it the prior jobs..i put like D or something...it was like "ses postes..."
-dammit i put he's anxious bc he didn't arrive on time =/

yah what's the curve?...could u still get over 700 if you missed like 10?

i missed like 4...whats that?

J'espere does go with subjunctive

no it doesn't
ex: j'espere que tu gagneras <--futur
subjunctive comes after il se peut, i'm positive

I put il se peut too. I'm pretty sure it was the correct answer. J'espere DOES NOT go with subjunctive ppl :)

esperer does not take the subjunctive.. 100% positive..

however.. esperar does take the subjunctive in spanish.. crazy!!

It depends on the context. Esp
