On the top 10 application form, it ask for the specific course numbers of other classes we plan to take. ummm...am I supposed to know that yet? WHat should I do? Also, is it rolling decision....are my chances getting hurt by waiting for your responses to these questions?

According to jrpar, “Not first come first serve; everyone finds out what seminar they are assigned to on the same day. I think most freshmen get one of their top 3 choice seminars.”

oh yea bump…i’m also curious about how we’re supposed to know the specific course numbers of other classes we plan to take.

The answer is almost definitely 3 other classes, if the question is referring to Fall Quarter. You can’t take 5 yet and it’d be silly to start out at NU with 3 classes total.

Most kids take four classes throughout their freshman year. I think after the first quarter if you have above a certain GPA (3.5 not sure tho) you can take 5 classes. I personally would never take 5 classes if you’re planning on doing anything related with econ, sciences, or engineering.

Okay, I think I listed four classes in that spot because I had a brain fart and forgot that the freshman seminar is actually, you know, a class. Durr. How big of an issue is that going to be? =/

^You can change it anytime by logging in again before June 5.

Oh sweet, thanks a lot!

did you guys look on a catalog of some sort to choose your classes?

i am wondering the same thing as aabbcc. it asks you to put down the complete class name with the numbers and everything. i have a general idea of what i will be taking but how do i figure out the complete names?
