I'm trying to reach out to all Anteaters who are BioSci majors, but any advice would be appreciated just as much. I'm going to enter UCI as a freshman majoring in BioSci and I have absolutely no idea what would be the best courses to take to finish college in time. I apologize for my newbieness in advanced.

What I want to know is how your fall schedule in freshman year was set up: the number of units completed, the courses, things like that. If your willing to share all the specifics of your schedule, it would be very helpful to me.

I made a mock schedule:

Biosci 93 Lec - 8:00-8:50 MWF
Biosci 93 Dis - 12:00-12:50 Tu

Biosci 2A Sem - 8:00-8:50 Tu

Chem 1A Lec - 10:00-10:50 MWF
Chem 1A Dis - 12:00-12:50 Thu

Writing 39B Sem - 9:30-10:50 TuThu

I feel as if I'm missing something. If I'm understanding the way units work, my mock is 13 units. 12 is bare minimum right? I read that math 2A should be held off until spring so it doesn't interfere with bio, but i want to get at least one more class that can fulfill some kind of bio prerequisite. Would you recommend getting one more class? If so, what class should I take?

Also, how do some students graduate in three years? Is it mainly because of their fall/winter/spring schedules or is it because of courses taken in summer school?
