Can someone comment on how and when a freshman is suppose to register for classes? Do freshmen meet with their advisers during orientation week? Thanks for your help.
Hi there! Depending on your program/school you reside in, determines if you enroll yourself or an advisor does for you. For example, I am a student in the CoE here, and for my first semester, I did not enroll in any classes myself - my advisor did so, and we did meet during orientation to validate these classes. Fall 2019 registration has started, and as an incoming freshman, I believe your enrollment date would be 4/17 (today), so definitely look over your plan of study on the UM Bulletin for your major to know what you need to take.
