Here are the courses that I plan to take.( I don’t know if I need a language or any Geneds) What would be the best way to split these courses up between first and second semester. Also, I am having trouble picking between Calc 211 vs Calc 119 and English W131 vs W170 so I could use some advice on that. Thanks!
BUS-K201 Computers in Business
ECON-E201 Intro to Microeconomics
BUS-C104 Business Presentations
BUS-T175 Compass I
BUS-T134 KLLC Development
MATH-M118 Finite Mathematics
MATH-M119 Calculus
BUS-A100 Basic Accounting Skills
ENG-W131/ENG-W170
Are you coming in with any AP credit? If not, you will need 1 natural science course, 2 A&H classes, and one of the World Culture options. More details are in this link. Note that the science class you choose must qualify as a natural science, and there are classes that double count for A&H and world culture.

For calculus, I would go with M119 unless you want a math minor or something like that. There is not any real reason to take a harder calculus than necessary for most people. For English, it probably does not matter a whole lot. Neither of the English classes is more difficult that the other, so I would just pick one with a professor that has a good grade distribution and good ratings on ratemyprofessors.com. The grade distribution database is the link below.

The order in which you take these classes really doesn’t matter a whole lot. I would separate the math classes, and T134 must be taken 1st semester, but other than that it’s pretty much up to you. You also take another 1 credit KLLC course 2nd semester. Maybe you could do something like this. You could also add something like D270 to 2nd semester if you needed 1.5 more credits and want to get an easy required class out of the way. Let me know if you have any questions.
1st semester:
BUS-K201 Computers in Business
ENG-W131/ENG-W170
BUS-T134 KLLC Development
MATH-M119 Calculus
BUS-T175 Compass I
Gen ed class
Total:14.5 credits
2nd semester:
BUS-C104 Business Presentations
MATH-M118 Finite Mathematics
BUS-A100 Basic Accounting Skills
ECON-E201 Intro to Microeconomics
Other KLLC class
Gen ed class
Total: 14 credits
Thanks @iubaccounting this is the most helpful answer ive seen. If I got a 3 in Ap Euro and 3 or 4 in Ap US would that get me anything?
@kingsta No problem. Those AP classes won’t get you any useful credit unless you want to minor in history maybe, but you still get some credit which will help you register earlier.

@iubaccounting would you recommend taking any of these courses over the summer at a community college/ online course?
@kingsta It’s definitely not necessary to take any of the classes at a community college, but the best ones to take would be finite, calc, or W131. Of those 3, I have only taken finite on campus at IU (Calc through ACP and exempted from W131).
If you are strong in math, you should be fine taking the math classes at IU, but the class averages are pretty bad. I have heard that W131 can be difficult, but it looks like there is a decent amount of variability between professors in grades. If you get a good one/are a good writer, you’d probably be fine taking it at IU as well. Also, don’t take micro econ with Self.
