Freshman Day

Does anyone know any details about the Freshman Days that will be held in April? Are they mostly for the students or for the parents as well?

My husband called AU to find out about this. He was told it was for prospective students to vist to help them make a decision. It is not for orientation or registration.

I am invited to the freshman day event but have no official acceptance. Do you think I’m in??? The invitation that I got is for me AND my parents.

@incoming: I think at this point you can call and ask if you are in or not…Pretty sure rejections and acceptances have all heard by now…so yours might be lost in the mail?

The freshman day is for both accepted students and families. I called AU admissions and they directed me to a link from the admissions page that lists the agenda for the whole day, some topics were listed students only, some parents only.

We will be attending the April 17 session and are wrestling with the decision to take 16 year old sib or not. Admissions rep said many families bring siblings it is our choice. Some things may be of interest to her, others not and it is a packed day!

Well, there have been some Honours overnight programs already, and there have been many parents along with siblings accompanying prospective students.

The purpose of freshman days is for you to get a feel of the University and what school you’ll be a part of should you decide to come. No definite decision has to be made there, or before.

I highly recommend it, I enjoyed it when I went two years ago, and honestly, I have never regretted my decision about joining AU!
