Freshman Dorm Opinions

Anyone got any suggestions? I know I am pretty late and that some of them are already full. Honestly though it seems like from what I’ve been reading, they’re all mostly the same, and I should just pick one and hope for the best. Pierce, Storrs and Tyler seem to have available rooms maybe a couple others I missed.

I decided to live in the smith house, seems like all the dorms are relatively thee same from what I read on here anyways.

@JadeRock , how’s it going? How is smith house? I hope your classes are going well.

It’s going well I suppose. The dorms aren’t exactly amazing, just a couple beds, desks, closets and stuff for two people. Pretty bland but I don’t really mind.

Classes are going ok, not failing as of now, haha. Well I got a D on a chem exam, which isn’t great. Oh well it isn’t too far into the semester to not bounce back. Worse things could happen. These classes are hard, that’s for sure! It’s manageable with proper time management.

Keep up the hard work and great attitude @JadeRock !!

Haha thanks @Winky1 ! Going to things like office hours and SI sessions is always helpful and an important tip not matter where someone is going to school. I don’t mind giving more freshman tips, but a lot of it would be restating what is already here.

One thing is whatever happens, from leaving family to not doing as well as you had hoped. Don’t get stressed. It honestly just is a waste of a time and energy that could be put towards doing something more productive, doesn’t even have to be academic, like going to the gym. Complaining and feeling bad about a test, won’t bring your grade up, studying will.
