Hi! I am an incoming international undergraduate student, goin to ENG this year. i just received my housing assignment from the housing office, and i got assigned into buswell street (I think it’s south apartment-style residence). is it a good place to start my freshman experience?

i read many postings in this website, and most people say the warren tower is the best place to start a college experience. Buswell Street is not far away from the Warren Tower, but its still far from the main part of the campus. I’m afraid I won’t be able to meet many friends in my dorm, since i’m not a outgoing person.

Is there anyone who lived in the south during freshman year?

Your living conditions will be a lot better than any of the Freshman dorms, but unfortunately it’s much harder to meet people. If you’re in a place like Warren or West, you’ll end up knowing everyone on your floor. I lived in South last year and I didn’t even know my neighbors’ names.

Thank you for your advice. Originally i was assigned into myles, but changed it since i need to pay extra for vacation housing… Do you think it’s better for me to get a new assignment in the warren tower?

Thank you anyway

Any advice to meet more friends in the south?

Are you from Korea? You can (if you choose to) make a lot of friends in the BU Korean Student Association or the BU Korean Student Business Association.

BU KSA is more for the white washed asians
and BU KSBA is more for the fobby ones
(but thats not saying you cant join both!!)

As for meeting friends while living in South campus… Besides making friends in the KSA you can make friends in class or other clubs.
