From what I hear, the freshman dorms (besides IV) are pretty tiny. I can't seem to find any photos anywhere on the internet. I've searched this site and it looks like there was once a virtual tour on their website but it's gone now. Anyways, does anyone have pictures or dimensions? Would a decent sized trunk fit in the rooms? And where to put that microfridge?

I wouldn’t say the dorm rooms are tiny. In comparison to other college dorm rooms they are more modern if you are in Stetson East/West. There is definitely enough room for the microfridge and room to move around your furniture to your liking.

Based on what I remember (it’s been awhile since I was a Freshman), while the rooms in IV are certainly nicer, there isn’t a huge size difference on average. However, depending on the building, room dimensions can vary pretty wildly. There will definitely be room for a mini-fridge. As most of the beds are raised (or able to be raised), you should be able to fit a trunk underneath, though there are some rooms where setup will probably necessitate placing the desk and dresser under a lofted bed, but even in those cases I don’t expect that you couldn’t find a fairly comfortable place to slide a trunk.

Alright, cool. I guess ‘tiny’ is relative. I still wonder why there are so few pictures of the dorms, though.

There is a tumblr called “fyeahcooldormrooms” that has dorm rooms from a ton of colleges. I know they have NU.

It depends on where you are. My daughter was in Melvin as a freshman and I have to say that was the smallest dorm room I’ve ever seen in all my tours of colleges and in all my life. Get your deposits in ASAP! And it wasn’t even billed as an economy double. You couldn’t even fit two sets of furniture in unless they were lofted and the closet was the kind where you open a door, and it was the size of a one person closet.

Some dorms in Melvin are much larger and there are singles there, too.
