Does anyone have an idea of how many freshman will be attending? What are the general numbers that have been enrolled in the past?

Just trying to figure out if my daughter has a chance of getting into Landis, or Gilchrist with her priority number of 3558. She has been accepted into the Honors Program in Dec.2010. Just called the Honors Program office, and she said they like to get 10% of the total enrollment into Honors.

They enroll about 5500 total freshman. They extended about 9000 offers of acceptance to fill that. I think they expected close to 30,000 applications this year

I would say that 8000 of the 9000 accepted get a housing number, as they were past 7000 last I saw posted here on CC. But not all attend.

Honors gives one a boost, so there is a decent chance of getting into Landis or Gilchrist, but there are more honors students than rooms in Gilchrist and Landis. Hang in there. There is also movement after assignments. And if you get somewhere else and OK with moving, you can apply for a change and can even get a call for a spot a week into class. Depends on how bad you want Landis. And if you apply for a change of assignment, you CAN turn it down if you get settled and decide your first assignment is fine.
