Freshman Forum

For those that were interested in the Freshman Forum, the application is now up:

Any idea of how many students are selected for this?

Sorry, I don’t know.

My notes from BB say that ~1000 apply for this (seems a lot!), and ~140 are chosen. They are split into 3 main groups, which are further split into smaller groups still. They plan a community service project at the end of each semester. My notes also say that they meet every Monday evening, ~6.30-8 pm, from mid-September until March? Not sure if this info will be correct for this coming year - anyone who is already in this program should weigh in with the facts as they know them.

I believe most are usually Greek, but I could be wrong.

Many of the Greek organizations all but require their members to apply to Freshman Forum, but in recent years, there seem to be a number of non-Greeks among the membership. My son did Freshman Forum three years ago, and he liked it. Met some students. He later served in as an adviser.

Thanks for the info, Everyone. :-)
