I recently went to my high schools college planning convention and they passed out a booklet containing information the university of California. In the booklet it said that UC only weights sophomore and junior grades for my preliminary GPA. I got a 1.5 my freshman year but this year which is my sophomore year I have a 3.8. I was just wondering if I still have a shot at UC Davis. I also have really good E.C.

Almost always the UCs won’t look at your freshman year.

It is unlikely that they’ll hold freshman year against you if you had good grades in your sophomore through juniors years.

If anything, freshman grades will only matter if you’re on the verge of getting in.

They won’t look at fresh year but your sophomore gps is still too low, avg is like 4.1 now.

yes, the UC’s only look at sophomore and junior grades. You can have up to
8 semesters total of weighted grades (like 2 honors or AP classes per year).
