Hi guys! So I'll be entering Lehigh University this fall as a freshman and I recently picked my courses for first semester. I have been told that Lehigh arranges my schedule for me and I will not know what it looks like until Orientation, when I can consult with my advisors about my classes. From what I have heard, it looks like I have virtually no control over the days/times that my classes fall on. Is there any way that I can alter the days/times of my schedule to work better for me if there are any issues or inconveniences with it?

You’ll get your schedule when you move in. A lot of times the are conflicts with being in the wrong level of a class or something like that and you can try to change it around. The first or second day there will be time allotted for you to work with advisors on or schedule. However you won’t be able to change class times just because you want to or it is more convenient. First semester you just have to work around your schedule, it can be impossible to change times because classes are very full.

Does this always happen at Lehigh? I mean is your schedule always arranged for you in advance? Or is it possible at all to schedule your classes at the times/days that you want?

Just for your very first semester, I believe. Every other semester, you can choose what classes you want to take but keep in mind some classes are only offered on certain days or at specific times.
