Freshman schedule difficulty

expos
general chem
general physics
intro to experimentation
calculus II (136)

How difficult is this? I'm most worried about general chem and physics.

Should be fine, standard schedule. Not particularly fun though

It is a tough slate, IMO, for a college freshman.

If memory serves my first-semester sched at UW featured the following:

Intro Chem (with Shakhashiri… great, great prof)
Intro Psych
Finite Math
Hans Christian Andersen lit class
UW Concert Choir

That was hard enough for me. Of course, I was socially active. You’ll do as well as you want to. Your slate looks tough to me, but I’m not you. My best guess is that you’ll need plenty of time to study. Just don’t forget to have fun too.

I would only maybe go out on the weekends.
And I got a federal work study job at a library (I know you’re not supposed to do work at the job, but I’m hoping my supervisor will be understanding).

they are, my friend works at alexander library and he does his hw there when he has no work to do.

that schedule is a typical freshmen schedule 15 credits. Usually biology is taken instead of physics. general physics 203 with baki brahmia is ok because he is a good professor from what i hear.

It seems like its a hard schedule because it is a hard schedule. Calc 2 is notable said to be hardest calc. Gen chem and expos are freshmen courses every student hates.

Intro to experimentation also known as chem lab sucks, if i was you i would drop it and take it in the spring since titrations are in the course which is covered in gen chem 2. Usually students in chem lab in fall are students who were unable to register for chem lab in spring.
Trust me take it in spring it will seem easier.

The schedule is doable and some advice is to do practice problems for chem, calc and physics. Don’t rely just on the past exams to study because they will be similar questions but might ask something different which the department is checking if you know the concepts of the course.

Also utilize tutoring and office hours.

shipponz laid it out quite well. I completely agree about taking Intro to Experimentation in the spring. They say you can take it concurrently with Chem 161, but save yourself the anxiety of having to learn things you haven’t been taught yet just to complete some of the labs. If you want another credit for whatever reason, you can try to pick up a Byrne Seminar that interests you, otherwise that schedule is perfectly reasonable for a freshman albeit challenging.

i’m planning to go to apply to rutgers pharmacy school (as a transfer student) or do the PA program.
will they accept my AP bio scores?

Your schedule isn’t bad at all. In fact, it’s much easier than my Freshman schedule.

really?
what did you take?
