Freshman schedule (Econ/Stats)

I'm planning to majoring in either econ or stats (or maybe double major, not sure though) and minoring in Spanish. Here's my intended first year schedule:

Math 1A
Spanish 4
French R1A
Music 140

I took Calculus AB-AP in my sophomore year and I got a 5. My math isn't bad, but I'm somewhat not confident, especially in a school like Cal. Should I take Math 1A or should I take 1B instead?

Also, because I'm still unsure about my major (I'm leaning more towards econ), should I start with Math 16A/B and then take 1B IF I decide to major in stats? Or should I just start with 1A in order to save some time for the future?

Thanks!!!!!

1b is definitely possible to do without doing 1a first. 1b is more focus on integration/series/sequences. However, 1b is also the most failed class on campus.

1a and 1b are both very hard and you should always get out of them if you can. You got a 5 on Calc AB, you know all you actually need to know from math 1a already.
