For fall this year, i am planning on taking Economics 1, Statistics 20, Sociology 1 and some other class. Im undecided and trying to explore majors. My question is, is it a good idea to take econ and stats 20 for my first semester as a freshman? I dont want to overwhelm myself with a a difficult workload. Ive heard that taking econ first semester is a no no so im not sure if i should just take it. I had statistics senior year and that class went very well but high school and university level classes arent the same. Any tips?

Those are very dry big-lecture classes. I would try to take something more interesting, something you might actually enjoy.
