Freshman Thinking About Sophomore Year Schedule

Right now I'm taking:

Hon Bio
Hon Eng
Hon Alg 3-4
Span 5-6
Digital Media 1-2
PE

I'm taking next year:
AP Bio
AP Euro
Spanish 7-8 (no honors offered)
Honors Humanities (10th year hon. eng)
no pe, so I'm considering AP Chem (without honors chem)
AP Calc AB (without precalc)

will i succeed? my EC's are:
fall:
Key club
quiz bowl
Peer counseling
Water Polo (high school)
synagogue hebrew tutor on sundays

winter:
key club
quiz bowl
peer counseling
club swim
synagogue hebrew tutor on sundays
academic league
science olympiad

spring:
Swim (high school)
key club
quiz bowl
peer counseling
synagogue hebrew tutor on sundays
academic league
california scholarship foundation

will i be ok, especially with the chem and precalc? im really good at math and im self-studying honors chem right now (and i plan to self-study precalc over summer)

I would imagine that taking calc ab w/o pre-calc is pretty unnecessary as a sophomore, but whatever I guess. That might be pushing it, but everything else is pretty normal.
edit: I just saw you’re gonna take AP chem without honors chem. That is ■■■■■■■■. You are clearly underestimating math/science AP’s. You can’t just show up and get them like you can in honors freshman classes.

You can probably pull AP Chem without Honors Chem if the teacher is good.

That’s the only AP test that I’ve failed, but my teacher was the epitome of awful teachers. Ask around at your school.

At my school, precal has NOTHING to do with calculus. As long as you have some background in trig and you can do some basic algebra, you’ll do fine in calc ab.
