Freshman Year at HS

Hey, I’m a freshman at HS, and although it’s a bit early to think about colleges, I wanted to ask if what I’m doing right now in freshman year is good? Currently, I’m taking Spanish Honors, US History I Honors, Chemistry I Honors, Geometry I Honors, and LA Literature II Honors along with other classes, and I take an extra morning class (ROTC). I don’t know my GPA as of now though, but through online calculators, I see my GPA weighted is 4.15, while unweighted is 4.45? Does that make sense? Aside from that, some activities I did this year are being part of the Math Club (to which I participated in some math competitions), Model UN, and being in the robotics team. Outside of school, I participated in a pharmacy program at a university, and this summer I will be completing my last year at a STEM based program at a local college where I will then get a full scholarship to the college since the entire program took 3 years to complete. All the stuff mentioned I’m interested in because I try to get a sense of the STEM environment, and I wanted to ask is there anything more I can do to help build a STEM path for myself and also prepare for applying to selective colleges in the future? Sorry this is long, and thank you!

Looks like you are on your way! Don’t forget to have fun! What do you like to do for fun? Would you mind naming the summer stem program or college? I’ve never heard of anything like this - might be good for my youngest.

You may have miscalculated your GPA, because as far as I know, weighted is always higher than unweighted.
Otherwise, you seem to be doing well in terms of class rigor by pursuing honor courses.
Keep up the activities you’re already doing (colleges like to see long term commitment) and see if there are any other STEM opportunities you can seek out while you’re still early on.
I’m confused by the STEM program you mentioned, though - what does this scholarship apply to? Is it for when you attend undergrad?

Nice! Also your GPA seems wack, not sure what you did there lmao

You are a freshman on this site, which is already a great sign that you have a bright future. Not only is your schedule one that would make seniors jealous, but you also seem to know where you want to go in life. Just make sure you spend time doing things centered around what YOU want to be in your future, not what you think colleges want to see in you. Lastly, it is not too early to think about college.
