Hi! Do any current Cal students have any advice for the freshmen edge program like what classes to take, how mnay, etc.?

Don’t take more than 8 credits. Even 8 might be too much to handle, depending on the classes. Remember that summer moves twice as fast, at least for the 8 week session, so you shouldn’t be taking more than half of a normal schedule. If they’re in different sessions or don’t overlap you can probably get away with more. But as an incoming freshman, it’s probably better to start off slow while you get the hang of college, and then you’ll have some free time to explore the area and make friends, too.

As for what to take, well, that probably depends on your major. You’ll probably end up taking the same sorts of classes you’d take as a first semester freshman. What classes are you considering taking?
