Bio 1B or E10

I'm an intended MCB with some interests in Engineering, particularly BioEngineering. That's why I haven't decided whether to take Bio 1B or E10 yet. I've also started to work in a lab. How would you evaluate my courseload?
I also have some course specific questions:
-For Chem 3ALab, would you recommended to take lecture before or after lab?
-How is BioE 10 compared to E10?

Thank you for reading and helping out!!

I think that's quite an ambitious courseload. I dunno if you're a Japanese native or not, but regardless, that class should assign a lot of work. Chem and Japanese will be your too big classes. You will probably spend most of your time on those. Math54 is the usual amount of work for a math class. It's not easy by any means, but it's not too much work. I think this schedule is doable as long as you stay on top of your stuff. You might feel the weight of it during midterm season though.

Bio 1B might be full by now

oh yea, our bioengineering program is **** based on what i have heard. Do not do it

Take Bio 1B. It's a major prereq for both MCB and BioE.

That's a pretty tough schedule especially if you're also working in a lab.

For Chem 3A lab, you take it at the same time as Chem 3A. If you're talking about the time of your 1 hour lecture versus the 4 hour lab...it doesn't matter?

No idea how BioE 10 compares with E10 (they're new this year), but I hear E10 is not that bad.

I don't know if the BioE program is exactly terrible, but I'm not sure if it's worth it unless you're really interested in it.

actually Bio 1B is not a BioE prereq. Its not required for all bio majors. NST doesn't require it either

Thank you all for the responses!! They will help me decide my courseload next semester.
I hope I get my classes, however.
I did get my Bio 1B class, but I'm waitlisted for:
Chem 3AL - 54th place
Math 54 - 51th place
Japanese 28th place

I've talked to the Japanese professor and she told me she will get me a place in the class. I'm worried about my other waitlisted classes, though.
