Hi yall. I was just wondering if anyone on here applied for the Friends of Music scholarship and if you've received anything in the mail about it yet.

mm. I haven't yet. I'm pretty sure it'll come soon. After receiving a slew of rejection letters, I'm not sure if I'm looking foward to getting this one either.

Good Luck though!

haha yeah same. what music area did u apply for? do you sing...play an instrument?

I play the violin. My chances of actually getting the scholarship is really slim though. I sent in this horrible CD of me playing that was recorded live, and every note I play practically gets out of tune. eeps oh well.

What about you?

haha I sing. my cd isn't that good either...I used my choir teacher's CD recorder and just sang 3 songs. the sound is very raw...we were recording in a t-shack. haha. only 2 people get the scholarship right? :-/

yep only 2. Heh, there probably were like several hundred who applied. I'm sure you did fine though :)

thanks. you too!

Wow, didn't know it was only two people...I shall assume I'm not getting it then.

I play piano, rather well if I may say so myself, sent in a more than decent recording of that; and I sing (Bass 1), sang in the All-State choir for NY...but wasn't able to send in a recording of that. Just sent in the scores/comments that the judge gave me for my All-State audition...

wow. best of luck runningmaniac
