<p>1- You have to select a state. If you are an international, there is no choice for you.
2- NetID field has a maximum length of 8 characters. However, NetIDs are 9 characters long. :)</p>

<p>My son is majoring in CS within engineering (I think you can do this via LAS, too?). Perhaps they did send it to all the CS majors – my son’s invite appeared two days after he was awarded the $15k/yr Engineering Premier Scholarship, so I just assumed it was restricted to the candidates with top stats. Maybe not? They could, in fact, be looking for the CS major with the most creative essay; the questions asked are certainly thought-provoking. One question I enjoyed (paraphrased): “Do you think new algorithms are created or discovered?”</p>
