From the AMC 12 to the AIME to the USAMO

How many of you guys here have done it?

how does this pertain to college discussion :p? I doubt many USAMOers do it to get into college.

not yet :D i'm training this summer yay for math!

i almost made it to the USAMO.

I got a 140 on my AMC and got 4 right on my AIME.

of course i'm in AMC12

i got around 115 on the amc 12 and 1 on the aime. i didnt have the patience to sit and do the problems for 3 hours and since i knew i wasnt gonna qualify for usamo i gave up after 35 minutes.

i got to the USAMO... but i did horribly on it. its not even funny.

my friend, however, qualified for the camp. hes left last week for it. hes set for college, haha.

One person from my school got to USAMO and made it to the camp too, all in 9th grade.. He's an asian with no life though. I got 3 right on AIME.

a kid from my school is an usamo finalist. one crazy kid i tell you. as for me, i only make it to aime.

136 AMC12, 7 AIME
oh well...

"One person from my school got to USAMO and made it to the camp too, all in 9th grade"
All 9th graders who get into USAMO automatically get into camp, I think, no matter how badly they do

"He's an asian with no life though."
What does being Asian have to do with anything???

Interesting.

107.5 AMC (should've done wayyy better) and 6 on AIME, so no. There was one kid from my school that did, however (actually 3rd year in a row making USAMO)-scored a 136 or something like that on AMC and I think a 13 or 14 or something on AIME. He's Indian and does have a life (at least it seems that way...)

A friend of mine 2 years ago (graduating with me this year) made it as a 10th grader to USAMO. This year he almost made it. He had a 122.5 on AMC12 and 10 on AIME.

Kid is a math genius.

I am with him grade wise in all the same math classes, I just suck at the AMC tests.
