As a sophmore student, I am currently attending USC in Los Angeles. I am listed as an undecided student and am working towards a mechanical engineer degree. So my question is whether or not it would be wise to transfer to hong kong university, or hong kong university of science and technology. My current gpa is 3.3 (rounded). The primary reason for my intentions to transfer is because, being born and raised in Hong Kong, I am growing to love the culture and lifestyle that hong kong provides.

i love hk too.though i’m from mainland china.i was not accepted when i applied to hk universities when i graduated from high school.so i’m here, and want to transfer to usc.
lol
i love hk.i wish i could go back there one day.
as for your question, i believe usc has great reputation in hk. doesn’t it? staying there is not a bad idea at all.
good luck

That is possible.
But do you really think HKU suits you better than USC?
You’d better think about it thoroughly before you make the decision…
Since your intended major is engineering, I have to say that I see little prospect of working in HK as an engineer…
