I’m an international student from Mexico with great GPA, I’ve taken some AP and Honors classes. Have good extracurriculars and I’ll be taking the SAT soon. Which good colleges in California offer financial aid/scholarships to international students for Computer Science? From which of the following do I have a better chance of receiving a scholarship: UC Santa Cruz, U Santa Clara or U Southern California?
From which college I have a higher chance of getting a scholarship in CA as an international student
UC Santa Cruz is a public university, and will not offer you financial aid. Focus on private schools – and ones where your stats put you in the upper percentiles of admitted freshmen. No one can tell you whether you’re more likely to get FA at one school or another… a lot of that depends on your stats AND who you will be completing against.
U of southern california is NOT a state university, and you may get scholarship but they will not give you any FA. State schools give zero FA, and very little scholarship.
Look at schools that give decent amount of merit scholarship.s
UC SC will not have any financial aid and they sometimes offer a little bit of merit aid, but the price tag is 55K and hey offer 5-10K, so… not making a dent, really.
Santa Clara is known for lousy aid.
USC has half tuition scholarships but you need to have top 1% SAT scores.
