I applied to FSU for earlier admission for fall and yesterday I looked up my admission decision and it says the following:
We have reviewed your application for admission to The Florida State University and have decided to delay making a decision until March 19, 2014. We recommend that you provide the following:

Mid-year senior grades - Have your grades sent to Florida State as soon as they become available but no later than February 19.
New ACT or SAT results - Retake either test prior to March of your senior year and request that the scores be sent to Florida State.

My teacher told me to apply to fall because i could always get deferred to summer, but now I'm confused because it says my decision is delayed until march and i need to know if I'm going to be accepted. I would be completely 100% ok with going for summer but does this delay mean I'm most likely going to be accepted into summer and they're just seeing if my scores will go up so that i could be accepted into fall or that I'm going to be rejected as a whole.

flcross is correct. FSU wants to see updated information- new SAT/ACT scores, as well as your grades from this semester- before they make a decision on whether you are accepted or not.

There is something on your profile (a bad grade? Low test scores?) that the admissions office did not necessarily like.

That’s right - something is below the standard they are accepting right now, call and find out exactly what then do your best to improve that area quickly…

Well i just took the SAT again last Saturday could that be a reason for being delayed? because when I compared my ACT and SAT scores that i already have sent in with my friends who were accpeted on friday, mine are all higher than theirs

SAT/ACT scores are only one component that FSU looks at when determining admission acceptance, deferment, or rejection.

It very well could have been something on your transcripts. Several grades of a C, or any grade below that, could easily explain why you were deferred.
