Bio
Don’t think stats matter a ton but posting my stats anyways.
Accepted OOS (TX) Psychology major.
3.5 UW, 3.8 W
29 ACT
lots and lots of ecs and a good ec regarding my major which i think helped a lot
but really college is so random. stats mean nothing. saw someone post on here rejected w 4.3 W while I have a 3.8 and got in. seriously y’all, you are NOT your stats!!! this year is crazy and i PROMISE if you didn’t get in, that means there’s something else out there that’s better for you. just wanted to show y’all to prove stats r so irrelevant
My son’s stats
OOS with tuition waiver
4.1 GPA, 33 ACT
I got in!! I got accepted for Biochemistry with an OOS tuition waver.
32 ACT, 33 superscore
WGPA 4.292
can we fill out a housing contract if we are not sure if we are going? obviously going to wait on all other schools, but dont want to lose a chance at Azealia or magnolia!
Maybe you can look into community college and then transfer after 2 years!
will there be any more honors releases in the future? I got rejected from honors
Accepted!! OOS 35 ACT, 4.0 UW if you’re wondering. Also a NMF!
Bummed that i didn’t get honors, but I’m super happy about the OOS waiver.
it actually took me to my scholarship letter prior to taking me to my acceptance letter
Yup so true! It came down to SAT scores. It’s almost as if it’s the only thing they looked at!
Looks like the OOS tuition waiver cutoff was 30 or 31? Thoughts?
A good thought but i will be graduating with my AA in May this year thru Dual Enrollment
Maybe test scores didn’t matter as much this year? I think I can testify to that.
Stats are as follows:
SAT - 1150
WGPA: 5.1
Class rank: 9/515
AP Capstone Diploma holder/Graduating with my AA.
Class President Freshman/Sophomore years and class representative junior year
No recs
AP Scholar w/ Distinction
Full time job as a shift manager at SBUX
100+ community service hours
I’m not sure if I’m a rare case but my SAT score would’ve been deleterious to my application if they mainly looked at that.
Anyone have any explanations?
Dragon222 is right about other opportunities! The sting won’t last. However, I think colleges place a larger-than-stated emphasis on test scores. I know it doesn’t apply to Florida schools but for the future, during test optional period, I do not recommend submitting test scores under the average or even top 25%. My son was chasing merit and has been accepted to all schools applied except the one he was in the bottom quartile.
Daughter Accepted!!! OOS 3.91gpa 30 ACT Psych Major 100% oos tuition waiver!!!
My daughter was accepted…sort of lol? She was offered Spring 2022 admission. We are OOS 3.8 UW/4.7 W, but she had a low SAT score (1170) and only took it once because FSU and UF were the only colleges she was applying to that required it (accepted to UT Austin, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Oregon, and TAMU so far with great merit scholarships at most), So no motivation We will have to see what she decides after getting all her acceptances. Congrats to everyone who got in!
Can anyone tell me about the Pathways program? Would you say its worth it?
Congrats on acceptance!
Interestingly, Florida has state law where everyone applying to public colleges must submit test score. There was no change this year making it test-optional. As a result, maybe admissions decided to focus less on them since they really should have been optional.
Just thoughts not sure. Congrats again!
