FSU class of 2025 admission and decision discussion

Yeah the TCC2FSU program. But she will be 17 so she can’t rent an apartment and they don’t have dorms.

Did they give that option to everyone who got rejected?

Does a “Seminole Pathways” offer from FSU pretty much ensure a rejection from FU?

I don’t know, but she has some good options regardless, so it’s fine. She is leaning toward UT Austin so it’ll be fine.

FYI, Class of 2025 stats:

FSU-Class-of-2025.pdf

I’m surprised they received less apps from NMFs than last year.

Did any of the admits today also get an email about the medical honors program yet ? That was supposed to come out today as well…

Yes lol

I’m assuming you have to accept the summer start offer to see if you received any FA? Anyone know for sure? My D is not interested in summer start and has other offers to consider but we’d be curious to see the full package before totally writing it off.

My sister received this program a couple years ago and lived in a dorm called Southgate her freshman year. The dorm is not associated with FSU, but its mostly kids who got spring admit at FSU and are taking classes at TCC during the fall or people in the TCC2FSU program if you want to look into that

I have a 3.94 gpa and a 33 act and did not receive any aid- anyone similar?

Yes, you attend a junior college for one semester and if you maintain a 3.0 GPA you’ll be admitted into FSU for the spring semester.

You’ll have an advisor from FSU who will tell you what courses you should take in Fall 2021 and they’ll check in periodically during fall semester to make sure you’re on track. After fall semester, they’ll ask you to upload your transcript, check to make sure you meet requirements. If so, they’ll help you register for spring semester. Sometimes this happens after Christmas.

Hope this helps…

My daughter originally received Pathways. Once Covid hit she received an email last April asking if she was interested in summer acceptance. Your son might have a similar experience.

So strange we got it and you didn’t. Ours had a link to scholarship letter under the signature line and residency status.

Yes, my daughter originally was offered Pathways January 2020. Once Covid hit she received an email in April 2020 asking her if wanted summer acceptance.

Here’s a reply I wrote to another person asking about Pathways:

Accepted for accounting!

OOS, with full tuition waiver scholarship
4.4 FSU GPA
32, 33 SS

Here is the poll for fall/summer/etc admission decisions

6 hours.

My daughter took both summer classes last summer online because it was the only option.

Very few face-to-face classes this semester so I’d prepare for online classes.

@cgemaj same acceptances here, as well as acceptance to UCF and Pitt. But pathways to FSU. Pitt was his first choice from the beginning so at least we’re at the end and ready to commit. GL to all!

My son was accepted with Seminole Pathways. He will likely be declining. The international programs seem interesting but with COVID, who knows if those would even be viable options for this Fall with EU countries closed to U.S. visitors.
