FSU English Transfer Summer 2012, Chances?

<p>Hello everybody,
This is my first post on College Confidential, so I thought I'd take a second to saturate in this precious moment...
There we go.
I have recently completed my transfer application to Florida State University, and just wanted to get some opinions on my probability of acceptance.
First question: With a cumulative GPA of 3.27, will I get accepted into the English: Editing, Writing & Media major? The cum. GPA may be a little low, but that's because of my first semester at University of North Florida (I got a 1.5 GPA in the summer semester, and promptly left to get my AA at a State College; my AA will be completed Spring of 2012, just in time for the summer semester for which I have applied). At that State College, my local GPA is a 3.61, and in conjunction with my previous 1.5 GPA, my cumulative GPA, as stated above, is a 3.27.
Which brings me to my second question: Will FSU admissions look at individual grades rather than the overall GPA (basically acknowledging my efforts to raise that horrific GPA to what it is now).
Any response is appreciated, and a simple yes or no answer to the above questions is more than enough...
Thanks again for the time.

<p>On paper here’s what FSU has to say;</p>

<p>[Florida</a> State University - Undergraduate Studies - Undergraduate Handbook](<a href=“http://www.english.fsu.edu/undergraduate/handbook.htm#general]Florida”>http://www.english.fsu.edu/undergraduate/handbook.htm#general)</p>

<p>[FSU</a> Admissions | Transfer | Admissions | Transfer Requirements](<a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found”>FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found)</p>

<p>As long as you meet the reading, writing, mathematics, and foreign language requirements you are good to go with an AA in theory.</p>

<p>I have a similar GPA and will be applying to FSU after completing my AA in Psychology. I would suggest eMailing <a href=“mailto:admissions@admin.fsu.edu”>admissions@admin.fsu.edu</a> if you have more specific questions. I asked them about some of their requirements and they replied fairly quickly.</p>

<p>I hope this helps.</p>

<p>Thanks very much, Thalieos, for the reply. My confidence is boosted… but i’ll keep my fingers crossed just in case ;).
Best of luck to you. Maybe we’ll pass each other on campus one day and not even know it. haha.
