any thoughts on getting in? I have strong GPA and SAT but I also understand it's hard to know what the film school looks for, I've done internship and film workshop but again not sure they care about that stuff.

what sets some applicants apart and when do they do the interviews?

VERY competitive. They take about 30 graduate and 30 undergraduate students per year.

It’s best to contact the department directly for information: [Film School / FSU - College of Motion Picture Arts](http://film.fsu.edu/)

From the website:

*The FSU Film School is one of the most highly-ranked in America.

Its students have won over 700 awards, honors, prizes and featured screenings at both national and international festivals and competitions.*

There are many threads here from years past. Do a search on the FSU board for film school. Within the last few years there was a year where students were posting about interviews, who got them, who got accepted, etc.
