FSU out of state applicant question. Please help!

I'm a 22 year old Black male wanting to transfer into FSU. I have a 3.0 gpa from a community college in Seattle and have my AA degree with 95 credits. The only problem is that on the FSU website it states that transfers must have a 3.0 in all attempted college course work, in which I don't. Does this automatically deny my chances of getting in? Any help would be truly appreciated.

I don’t think it thwarts your attempt. However, to graduate from FSU or any other university, 60 credit hours must be obtained at the transfer university; if you have 95, only 60 would transfer then. You might want to reevaluate so that you don’t waste any time.

Only 60 would transfer? I don’t think that’s right. I think you have to have at minimum 60 transferable credits to get into the university. At least that’s what I interpreted from their website.

I think they mean that you need to have a 3.0 overall in all college coursework (cumulative GPA) and a 3.0 from your current college/U. You def do not need a 3.0 in each and ever course.

30 credits must be done at FSU to graduate there, as well as half of the major course requirement. Some majors have other requirements regarding particular courses or hours. 45 credit hours overall must be at the 3000-4000 level.
